ABOUT ANGELA NIEMEYER EASTWOOD

German Grand Prix Trainer & Rider

British Dressage accredited coach 2021
I am a German Grand Prix Trainer and Rider. I am a British Dressage Accredited Coach, BDCC Level 3 Coach, Para Dressage Coach, a member of the International Dressage Riders Club and have most recently taken part in the 2019 National Development Programme for Coaching Excellence

Angela's History

My passion for horses started young; at the age of three, I was taken on a visit to a farm near our home in Germany and was allowed to sit on one of the horses. At eight, I joined the vaulting team at the local riding school. Under the tutelage of my beloved Ernst Worbs, our Riding Master, we were national champions several times; I learned the feel, rhythm and balance on a horse, the importance of relaxation and team work. Ernst was very generous and I rode his horses, over the years, to Grand Prix.

Broad Equestrian Experience

I have a broad based equestrian experience. I have trained many UK and international riders from novice to FEI. In the UK, I competed my own and clients’ horses in everything from YH classes, the Regionals and Nationals, through to FEI, including my own Russian Trakehner to Int II before his untimely death. Although I has retired from competition riding, I still regularly rides clients’ horses as and when necessary.

Personal Development

I visit with other fellow trainers such as Carl Hester, David Pincus (pictured), the Bartels in Holland and Monica Theodorescu in Germany, to mention just a few, in my quest to continue my own CPD. I regularly attend seminars, conventions, clinics and competitions to the same end. With horses, it is never possible to know everything and an open mind is an essential requirement in the equestrian world.
